Free Guitar Lessons Pay Off!

We are just thrilled so see so many of our guitar students progress so well after just 8 weeks! Not only do they know the basic chords, but they can play songs…and not have their fingers hurt anymore!

They will begin offering their talents in worship in coming weeks as they advance to the “Advanced” Levels.

Watch for our Fall “Free Guitar Lessons” starting on Tuesday, September 14, 6 pm. Call 248-852-5510 for more information.

LCMS Youth Gathering

Our youth are in the afterglow of a life-changing experience in New Orleans at the LCMS Youth gathering. There they joined tens of thousands of other like-minded youth from all over the United States to celebrate grace…and serve Jesus by serving those still affected by Katrina and those in need.

I can’t wait to hear their joy on Sunday, September 12th, 9:30 am, as part of our Fall Kick-Off Rally Day! Join us!

Terrific Tuesdays IS TERRIFIC!

What a great sumer it has been!

Terrific Tuesdays brought youth, ages 8-12, together each week to have fun with various weekly themes including…Pirate Week (”Aaarrrgh!”), Backwards Day (Remember, always eat dessert first at Backwards Day Dinner), and a Hawaian theme (can you do the limbo???).

We’re wrapping up all this Summer fun on Monday Evening, August 23rd. beginning with a free picnic dinner for families and a special casual, cafe-style, time of worship and praise led by guitarist extraordinaire, Gary Richard.

All are welcome! Join us for free food, lots of fun…and celebrating how all are in God’s family through the grace of Jesus Christ!

Stuff You Never Learned In Sunday School!

What an exciting worship series this is! After our first three weeks we have discovered neat “stuff” about Adam and Eve, Noah and Abraham we NEVER learned in Sunday School!

The neatest “stuff”, however, is recalling how God worked in their lives. Through their stupidity, ignorance and rebellion, God worked powerfully in their lives to give them grace.

The neatest “stuff” we learn, of course, is that God loves us so much in Christ that He forgives our failings, makes us clean, and calls us to serve Him!

Pretty neat stuff, eh? Join us next Sunday!
